RAMA राम : THE TEACHINGS | IN WOODS OF GOD REALIZATION | POETRY
You must look at the world from an entirely new standpoint . You cannot mix the two standpoints . It cannot be that you can look at certain phenomena from a worldly standpoint and regard other circumstances or phenomena from the new standpoint . Let your standpoint be entirely changed , look at everything as GOD , as Divinity .
SWAMI KRISHNANANDA : THE BHASYA & TEACHINGS
There is no such thing as individual consciousness ; it does not exist . There is only One Consciousness , which is universally present everywhere , and when it appears to be located in a particular point of spatio-temporal context , you call it individuality .
ADI SHANKARACHARYA : THE BHASYA & TEACHINGS
There is neither you , nor me , nor the world , to those whose minds are immersed in HARI , Who is Fuller than the full , Who is Higher than even the highest , Whose furthest limit is unknown , Who is the vast ocean of nectar in the form of Pure Consciousness devoid of waves , undulations and the like , Who has the splendour of the very bright quarters and the sky in which have appeared ten million suns , Whose One essence is innate Bliss , Who is the Supreme Spirit .
NISARGADATTA MAHARAJ : THE TEACHINGS
If you try to understand the unmanifested with the mind , you at once go beyond the mind ; it is like when you stir the fire with a wooden stick — you burn the stick . Use the mind to investigate the manifested . Be like the chick that pecks at the shell . Speculating about life outside the shell would have been of little use to it , but pecking at the shell breaks the shell from within and liberates the chick . Similarly , break the mind from within by investigation and exposure of its contradictions and absurdities .
