|| PRASANKHIAN | PART 2 ||

A young child ( Bam Deo ) had the following experience as expressed in Riga Veda .

" I am honey . I am sun . I am by name Kakshivan Rishi , progeny of Dirghtama of bright intellect . I alone know Kutsa , progeny of Arjuni . I am the poet Ashva . I gave charge of the earth to Manu . I allow rain to fall for the good of those who offer ( Havi ) as my blessing . I allow the roaring clouds to spread everywhere . All the gods act according to my own desire . "

If we interpret the above mantras , as the " great sentence " , ( I am That ) , and concentrate on it in the word OM , the life Force , and repeat it , sing it , breathe it and think it over again and again , it would be a great help , in achieving the final end of being one with Brahma .

A person who has realised the true Self sings thus ( Riga Veda 8-7-11 , Sukta 125 ) .

( In this Sukta , while realizing oneness with GOD , the Brahma realised Vak , progeny of Maharshi Ambhran , taking oneself to be the form of the whole universe and , realising oneself to be the base of all , has prayed to one's own self thus ) :

" I am roaming in the form of Rudra and Vasu . I am roaming in the form of Sun and GOD of Universe ( Vishva Deva ) . I , being one with Brahma , am Mitra and Varuna . I am , Indra and Agni . I am both the Ashvani Kumars . The whole universe is within Me .

" I am Soma . Similarly , I am Twashta , Pusha and Bhaga . I bestow the ultimate fruit of Yajna , the desired wealth , upon the yajmans who offer ' Havi ' and who satisfy the gods with their sincere offerings of the juice of Soma-Balli . I am all that .

" I govern the whole universe . I grant wealth to the devotees ie I give the fruit of Upasana . I am the chief among those who perform the yajna . I am endowed with such qualities . All worldly affairs and elements exist within Me . All the gods invoke Me . Whatever they do , they do unto Me .

" They take food , due to Me . They see and breathe , due to Me . Whatever they say or hear , they do through Me . Those who do not know Me as Omnipresent and Omnipotent , being ignorant of Myself , are emaciated in this very world . O you Vidyut ( Power ) ! I teach about Brahma who is all-pervading in the form of objects . It is known only through Faith and effort . Please listen to Me .

" I Myself , being Brahma , am giving My own description . Being served and respected both by gods and humans , I make those people great whom I wish to protect . I make them alone the creator , the Brahma . I make them Rishi who can see things beyond the power of their senses and give them , alone , sublime intellect and Divine Vision .

" ln order to kill those who hate Brahma , and to kill Tripura Sur , I provide power and energy to Lord Maha Deva . Also , I fight and finish the demons in order to protect My devotees . I am also interpenetrating in a subtle way in the matter and space alike .

" I create parent-like Akash ( space ) above this world ( This creation has come out of this subtle Akash , the cosmos , and , as such , it has been called parentlike ) . I am the root cause to provide water to the oceans . I create the heavens etc , the illusive objects . I am like this , I am the cause of this entire universe and , as such , I exist in it , as all-pervading and interpenetrating .

" Without being inspired by anyone else , like air , I create all the worlds Myself of My own accord . I am far beyond the conception of earth and heavens etc . I am unattached , indifferent , original cause and Absolute Consciousness . I am born of My own and am expressed in the form of the whole universe . "

In a poem , Rama claims :

" The roses blossom and the nightingales weep . The rivers and rivules flow swiftly . The beautiful colours of the dawn dissolve gradually . The morning breeze blows . The rain falls with a pleasant and gentle sound . All this happens in Me , in Me , in Me .

" The stars twinkle , the sun shines brightly and the gardens and jungles are well decorated with flowers . The cities of London and Paris are inhabited , Kashi and Mecca are worshipped and the heaven and its garden are created in Me , in Me , in Me .

" The railway trains run speedily . The boats ply freely . The storm comes with a gust . The armies fight in a mood to kill . The yogis , who worship GOD , roam about from door to door . All this happens in Me , in Me , in Me .

" The blue sky is beautiful all round . The snow-clad Mount Kailash sparkles , the sea rolls on , and the moon shines in Me , in Me , in Me .

" All the Vedas , philosophies , and religions , Koran , Bible , Tripataka , Buddha , Shankara , Jesus and Mohammad all exist in Me , in Me , in Me .

" Kapil , Kanad , Aristotle , Spencer , Kant , Hamilton , Rama Chandra , Yudhishtar , Alexander , Vikrama , Caesar , Elizabeth and Akbar , all live in Me , in Me , in Me .

" I am in front . I am behind . I am above and below . I am open and hidden . I am the lover and also the beloved . I am the poet , poem and also the subject of poetry . I am the nightingale and also the rose garden . I am all , I am all . "

The blissful Ruler Indra expresses in ecstasy in the following words in Riga Veda ( 8-6-26 . su . 119 ) .

1 . " I bestow cow and horses on those who pray . I have this bent of mind because I have drunk the Soma * a number of times .

2 . " Just as a fast blowing wind carries water vapour to the trees , so , too , the Soma carries me to the Destination very soon because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

3 . " Just as fast running horses carry the chariot to the destination , so , too , the Soma drunk by the me carries me to the Destination because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

4 . " Just as crying cow goes and meets its dear calf , so , too , the prayer of the ones who pray makes me meet them .

5 . " Just as a carpenter repairs the chariot , so , too , I also grant success to those who pray from their heart .

6 . " Gods and humans cannot hide the objects from my searching eyes because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

7 . " Both the earth and the heaven cannot be even equal to my wings because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

8 . " The fact mentioned in the above mantras is confirmed here . Due to my power , I look down upon the heaven . ln the same way I look down upon this great earth because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

9 . " I have the capability to uproot this world and put it in the space above in the heaven because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

10 . " I can shift the sun which causes the world to be heated with its scorching rays to any place in the space or to the heaven because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

11 . " One of my wings touches the heaven , while the other touches the earth because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

12 . " Like the rising sun in the space , I am all effulgent because I have drunk the Soma a number of times .

13 . " ln the form of Fire I accept the offerings in the Yajna and carry it to gods — Indra and others because I have drunk the Soma a number of times . "

It is how Lord Indra prayed to Indra's own Self .

The same idea is expressed by Rama in one of Rama's Hindustani verses .

1 . " I always drink light in the ever blissful cup of Divine wine . This cup of sky is full of wine of effulgent Divine light .

2 . " It is My desire to give what one needs or likes , elephants , servants , horses , ornaments , land and life-companions . I give whatsoever one may desire , even without asking for it .

3 . " The requests of all the nations and the prayers of all the religions come unto Me sooner or later , just as the cow come to their sheds from the jungle ( after grazing ) .

4 . " I handle all the desires , prayers , qualities , deeds and requests of people just as a bricklayer handles the bricks . That is how , I create this world .

5 . " All my affairs , quarrels , disputes and discussions in the world do not affect My heart , nor do they change My angle of vision , as if they are gulal ( face powder ) or Surma ( the eye powder ) .

6 . " The Laws of Nature are My orders . The sun and the stars all dance to My tune . The hands and the feet of every one move according to My Will .

7 . " The nature of the Universe is My kindness and benevolence . My game is piercing . It is like flood light . Lightning , aurora , and the burning cinders are as if the flames of My heart ( burning with love for all ) .

8 . " I play Holi in rejoicing . The round world is like My ball to play with . It is up to Me to throw it this way or that way . I am always drunk with the wine of GOD-intoxication and I dance merrily . I remain in a blissful mood , because I am Emperor Rama without any worry . "

The gist of another Sanskrit poem has been expressed by Rama in a Hindustani poem thus :—

1 . " Where am I to go ? What am I to leave and what am I to take ? What am I to do ? I am a tornado of highest magnitude , I am a wonderful sight .

2 . " I am not anything which I am not . I am here . I am there . I have no desire . I need nothing . I am in every thing like criss-cross thread in a cloth .

3 . " I am hidden . I am open . I am below and above . I am in front and also behind . I am the whole Universe . I am time and space . I ever was and shall ever be . "

Another Sanskrit Shloka says :—

" The Sun and the Moon revolve in regular succession , so that we may have Faith . O Indra ! for this the earth did roll " .

OM ! OM ! ! OM ! ! !

( NOTE : * Here Soma means GOD-Realization metaphorically . )
